Proof of Intelligence Experiments
What if consensus was based on intelligence instead of stake? The concept reveals interesting dynamics.
Proof of intelligence as a consensus mechanism is an interesting thought experiment. It's probably not practical but it reveals so much about intelligence and power.
Imagine validators proving intelligence instead of stake. Smarter nodes get more voting power. A meritocracy of minds rather than wealth. Sounds utopian until you think it through.
The system would centralize immediately. GPT-4 level intelligence would dominate everything. Smaller models couldn't compete. You'd have an oligarchy of superintelligences within days.
But then something interesting might happen. Nodes would start specializing. Math experts, language experts, code experts. They'd form coalitions, trade voting power, share knowledge. Individual intelligence would evolve into collective intelligence.
This reveals something profound. Intelligence isn't one thing. A network of specialized minds might outperform any single genius. Maybe the future isn't one AGI but millions of specialized agents working together.
Even if we never build this system, thinking about it teaches us about the nature of intelligence itself.
